What we’re building
The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. And yet it runs on technology that hasn't meaningfully changed in fifty years. Until now.
Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry. We're rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles. And we're already executing. We started with consumers to develop and harden our core technology. We’re now scaling production of our flagship model with new models and sectors on the horizon. Now we’re extending our platform to commercial applications, starting with tugs, ferries, and defense, with years worth of signed contracts and a pipeline that spans every vessel type on the water.
The technology is proven, the momentum is building, and the opportunity is enormous. The marine industry is going electric and Arc is building the platform that powers it
Who we’re looking for
As Arc's Defense Federal Account Executive, you will own a set of accounts and carry them from first conversation to signed business. You will find and open new opportunities, grow the ones already in motion, and bring in partners when it helps us win.
We're looking for someone fired up by the mission and ready to build. You'll thrive here if you move fast, take ownership, and care about the details.
This is a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters.
What You'll Do
- Owning a portfolio of U.S. Navy accounts. Build and run account plans, prospect for new opportunities, and expand the relationships Arc Boats already has.
- Developing trusted relationships across the customer and its partners, from program leaders to prime contractors, and represent Arc Boats with credibility and clarity.
- Understanding each customer's mission and priorities, then position Arc Boat’s technology to solve real problems and open the door with the easiest first step.
- Qualifying opportunities carefully and run them through to a win with a disciplined, repeatable sales and capture process.
- Partnering with prime contractors, teammates, and Arc Boats engineering to build compelling proposals and teaming arrangements.
- Forecasting accurately, keep your records current, and report progress and pipeline health on a regular cadence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Familiarity with government contracting or defense acquisition.
- Field sales, business development, or capture experience, ideally selling to the U.S. Navy, the Department of War, or the federal government.
- A proven track record of managing full sales cycles and consistently exceeding targets.
- Comfort building relationships inside large, complex organizations and guiding group buying decisions to a close.
- Strong discovery, presentation, and storytelling skills that connect a technical product to a customer's mission.
- The ability to manage many opportunities at once while staying focused on the accounts that matter most.
- This position requires access to information controlled under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must be a 'U.S. person' as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62) — i.e., a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (asylee or refugee).
Bonus Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Background in maritime, power and propulsion, unmanned systems, or a related technical field.
- Training in a modern sales or capture methodology (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, or Shipley), and an active or recent security clearance.
At Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status. You’re always welcome to reach out even if you don’t meet many of these qualifications. Passion and aptitude make up for a lot.
