About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Injection Molding Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing injection molding processes, troubleshooting production challenges, supporting new product launches, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Production Support
- Start, monitor, and optimize injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality and maximum efficiency.
- Adjust machine parameters within established process tolerances and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Continuously monitor molding operations and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining production schedules.
- Investigate and address product non-conformances while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support the Molding Process Engineer in the setup, startup, and validation of new molds, tools, materials, and production trials.
- Optimize robot programming and automation systems to reduce cycle times and improve operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with established gripper confirmation and automation standards.
Environmental, Health & Safety
- Champion a strong safety culture by supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives throughout the facility.
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA/TCEQ, and company safety standards.
- Monitor work areas for potential safety risks and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in accident investigations, near-miss reviews, and continuous improvement efforts related to workplace safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely incident reporting.
- Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices are identified.
- Promote safe work behaviors and environmental stewardship across the organization.
Customer & Quality Compliance
- Understand and comply with all applicable Customer Specific Requirements (SQAM).
- Maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction through adherence to established procedures and specifications.
Qualifications

- Ability to interpret process data and make informed decisions in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Education & Experience
- Able to work 3rd shift: 10:30pm to 6:30am
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Plastics Technology, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of injection molding processing experience required.
- Hands-on experience with plastic processing, mold/tool setup, automation systems, and process controls.
- Experience with large-tonnage injection molding machines (1,500 tons or larger) is highly preferred.
- Experience with Husky and Haitian molding machines is a strong advantage.
- Automotive manufacturing or automotive injection molding experience is preferred.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Sepro and Husky robots is highly desirable.
