Editorial Lead

Adobe

San Jose

The Opportunity

We're looking for a sharp, narrative-focused Editorial Lead to lead the Adobe Corporate Blog and shape the voice, standard and quality of all external written materials. This is a role for someone who thinks like a journalist, edits with a steady hand, and understands how editorial rigor builds audience trust and business impact! Prior experience as a reporter or editor at a publication or newsroom is strongly preferred.

What you'll Do

  • Develop and implement an editorial content strategy that aligns with the corporate narrative, brand goals, and target audiences. Implement a rigorous editorial calendar for the corporate blog while growing thought leadership.
  • Set high editorial standards, style guidelines, and a consistent "One Adobe" voice across all written content, including blog posts, press releases, and executive communications.
  • Commission, assign, brief, and edit content — from light copy edits to substantive rewrites — ensuring every asset meets Adobe’s editorial and reputational bar.
  • Apply strong news judgment to identify story angles, executive perspectives, and industry moments that meaningfully advance industry conversation and Adobe's role in crafting what's next.
  • Partner with the PR team to edit and elevate announcement narratives into clear, reporter-ready storytelling that holds up to scrutiny.
  • Write original articles, thought leadership pieces, and executive bylines when needed, grounded in data, customer stories, and real-world impact.
  • Manage full submission and review workflows (blogs, press releases etc), coordinating across collaborators to meet publication timelines.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics and use data to continuously raise editorial quality, reach and impact.

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in editorial, journalism, content strategy, or corporate communications roles.
  • Exceptional writer and editor with the ability to develop compelling narratives for a range of formats — corporate announcements, thought leadership, success stories, and executive perspectives.
  • Deep understanding of SEO and GEO protocols, including structuring content for AI discoverability and answer engine citation.
  • Proven ability to manage contributors, editorial workflows, and multiple competing deadlines with precision.
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • BA/BS degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
