Job Description:

• Facilitates both individual and group tutoring sessions based on curriculum and program coordinator's discretion.
• Assists students in developing effective learning strategies and critical thinking skills using appropriate equipment and resources.
• Creates and maintains a tutoring schedule that is convenient for both the student and the tutor.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of each tutoring session.
• Ensures strict confidentiality of all student information, materials, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Proficiency and knowledge in tutoring course(s) of interest [Required] • Patience, desire, and a positive approach when working with students [Required] • Communication skills [Required] • Problem-solving skills [Required] • Good role-modeling [Required]

Education: • Associate's, Bachelor's or higher degree [Required]

Field of Study: • Recommendation form or letter from either an instructor, teacher, professor, academic chair, employer, or volunteer supervisor to tutor a General Education course OR Recommendation form or letter from a Professional Program Instructor or Chair to tutor a Professional Program course • Enrolled in an AS or BS Program at AHU

Additional Information: • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:-Associates degree and 0+ years of experience OR • High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience
