Job Description:

• Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
• Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians.
• Obtains all views required for processing.
• Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam.
• Inputs data at the completion of the exam.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarify with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
• Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months.
• Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists.
• Always uses two types of patient identifiers, such as name and date of birth.
• Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Associate's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• in cardiovascular sonography

Work Experience:

• 1+ relevant experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$31.86 - $59.27
