Credentialed Veterinary Technician - Genoa Animal Hospital

Located in Genoa, Illinois, Genoa Animal Hospital is a full-service small-animal practice that has been serving the community for more than 30 years. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness and preventive medicine, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, urgent and emergency care, and laser therapy. With a focus on compassionate care, technical expertise, and individualized attention, the team is committed to helping pets live healthier lives while building lasting relationships with the families they serve. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in anesthesia, dentistry, surgical assisting, and be comfortable with and enjoy interacting with clients. Schedule is Monday-Friday, no weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Veterinary Technician Certification required – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.

• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Compensation starts at $22/hr and is dependent upon experience. ​
