Quality Engineer - FEOL Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Develop and strengthen quality assurance systems that improve product quality, process capability and manufacturing consistency.
- Establish quality objectives, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive sustainable improvements in customer quality, defect reduction and process performance.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to embed quality into production processes and new technology implementation.
- Foster a prevention-based quality culture that emphasizes risk anticipation, process capability, operational discipline, and continuous learning.
- Govern manufacturing quality risk through PFMEA, Control Plans, change management, MRB, Process Change Notification (PCN), and robust quality review processes.
- Ensure quality risks, non-conformities, and systemic quality issues are proactively identified, investigated, mitigated, and monitored.
- Drive sustainable recurrence prevention and risk reduction across operations.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical methods (like Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments) to interpret large volumes of data, identify trends, drive yield/performance issues, implement mitigation plans.
- Work closely with process / integration/ reliability team; internal/external customers to ensure seamless integration, address issues, and meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Able to travel on short notice when required.
Requirement :
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Work experience of at least 5 years. Proven experience (>3 years) in in-process quality control of high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of nanotechnology processes, including lithography, etch, deposition and metrology.
- Proficient in statistical data analysis and process optimization and control techniques (e.g. Design of Experiments, SPC, JMP).
Functional Knowledge
- Experience in FEOL optics or semiconductor fabrication preferred
- Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field

- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services

- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
