Key Responsibilities
- Creates x-ray tomography recipes (parameters that include accelerating voltage, slant angle, and number of projections) that optimizes throughput and image quality for customer’s high value problems.
- Identifies system-level gaps for customer’s high value problems (e.g., detector readout, system geometry constraints, etc.) and reports this back to the BU.
- Helps test new algorithms with the customer’s datasets and determine development paths needed in algorithms. A bonus would be to help develop additional algorithms and scripts.
- Serve as a technical systems expert, including debugging problems with EPICS (experimental physics in control systems) controllers and Linux challenges.
- Works with business unit and customers to create new Design of Experiments (DOE) alongside customer on mission-critical tasks, such as dose reduction and dose monitoring.
