POSITION SUMMARY The Accounting Representative is responsible for various duties to include maintaining raw material data integrity within the SAP system, the ability to analyze consumption ratios through the production areas and research anomalies that occur during the month. Strong troubleshooting skills are required to review transactional points to uncover drivers related to deviations that surface. TARGETED OUTCOMES Maintain the right to operate through our Commitment to ZERO injuries, process safety, or environmental events. Review and coordinate with all personnel associated with Goods Receipts, Stock in Transit, Consumption, & Ending Inventory Counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Team with operations and logistics to work through process improvement initiatives. Produce multiple reports that illustrate production area consumptions monthly. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Make entries as needed within the ERP system to ensure data integrity. Strong communication skills to clearly articulate process improvements. Provide feedback with specific incident details that support findings. Review and correct transactions as required. Collect and work with plant personnel on BOM updates and revision requests. Perform annual review of BOM required adjustments to raw material consumptions. Interact and walk the production areas to understand and assist in resolution of issues that might arise. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE Minimum Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED (a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is a plus) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Experience in ERP systems and data extraction and integrity. Must have strong mathematical ability. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be on site during normal business working hours. Must be able to navigate the manufacturing plant and go to sources of interest. Routine safety equipment: long sleeves, safety shoes, hard hat, ear plugs/muffs, safety glasses. Will be required to work overtime if needed to execute on commitments.
