Job Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, independent, and entrepreneurial HR professional to support our growing business in Taiwan. This role will serve as the primary HR representative for the Taiwan organization, providing full-spectrum HR support across employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, HR operations, and people programs.

The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, employees, government authorities, and external partners to ensure effective HR practices and a positive employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, navigating ambiguity, and driving both strategic and operational HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Relations & Compliance: Handle employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions, in line with Taiwan labor laws. Serve as the main HR contact for sensitive matters and ensure compliance with all local regulations and required processes.

2. Data Privacy & Sensitive Information: Oversee local data practices to ensure compliance with Taiwan data privacy regulations and building employee trust

3. Government & External Stakeholder Interface: Represent HR in interactions with government and external partners, ensuring timely and compliant responses to regulatory requirements.

4. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Enhancement: Lead recruitment efforts, including campus hiring, and build relationships with universities, academia to support talent pipeline development.

5. On-Site HR Operations & HR programs & Initiatives delivery: Provide on-site HR support, manage employee lifecycle processes, and support key HR programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above; field of study is open.

• Typically 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in multinational, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other fast-growing organizations.
• Solid experience across multiple HR disciplines, including: HR Operations and Compliance & Labor Administration, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering
• Strong understanding of Taiwan labor laws and HR practices.
• Experience interacting with government agencies and handling compliance-related matters.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and execution capabilities.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and working proficiency in English.
