Job Summary

The Project Team Driver 3 position will serve as primary “lead” of specific higher trained areas, such as Exhibitions, Deliveries, or Cross utilization between multiple divisions/departments. This position will report daily to the Crew Lead/Event Supervisor/Manager while working with the other lead positions on completing weekly orders and tasks with minimal supervision. Other duties include being responsible for warehouse maintenance, inventory control, top room cleaning and maintenance, event/exhibition setup/strike/maintenance, pulling and receiving of rental items within the warehouse, as well as loading and unloading trucks, cleaning and repairing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. All of which is in support of Biltmore events such as weddings, exhibitions, corporate events etc. during peak event seasons to help create a world class experience for guests. Position may also provide general assistance and support to the department, leadership, and the company as required.

Essential Job Duties

1. Properly and safely operate a box truck, including but not limited to, the loading, strapping/securing items, and safely unloading items. Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items. 2. Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guests. 3. Pull, sort, pack and place equipment/items on racks, shelves, or bins according to company standards. This includes linen/drape prep and dish washing. 4. Setup rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival. Must be able to understand and execute direction given from a pull sheet, email, phone, etc. 5. Warehouse maintenance such as organization, top cleaning and repairs. 6. Biltmore Exhibit Installation/Strike/Maintenance such as Luminere, Illumination, Christmas, etc. 7. Take direction from Managers, Supervisors, Technicians, and support services staff. 8. Lead a small crew in the event that the crew lead or supervisor is unavailable. 9. Safely operating a warehouse forklift and a scissor lift. Operating carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment required to move products through the warehouse and on trucks. 10. Ensuring all items meet company standards and making the necessary repairs if not. 11. Support the team(s) with custom signage request and other client requested builds such as fabrication, carpentry, fabric, etc. 12. Support in the field with custom installations as needed or serve as a runner for last minute request. 13. Knowledgeable on drapes and linens (liners, swags, skirts, wraps, reveal walls, etc.), including but not limited to, inventory, cleaning, organization, pulling & prepping, stocking, install/strike, and more.

Qualifications

1. Previous event set-up/break-down and/or equipment, or logistics/driving experience preferred. 2. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service. 3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to take direction/receive instruction as part of guest service team. 4. Strong organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail with focus on quality and service. 5. Takes initiative, exercises good judgment; can prioritize work and adapt as needed. 6. Ability to represent Biltmore in a professional manner with guests and vendors at all times. 7. A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required. 8. Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully. 9. Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

Physical Requirments 1. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance. 2. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time. 3. Ability to climb, and work from, ladders, lifts, stairs, and/or scaffolding. 4. Ability to reach overhead, bend and squat/kneel often. 5. Ability to work effectively with exposure to dust, dirt, foul odors, extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions, using the proper safety and protective equipment. 6. Must be able to work for extended periods of time from elevated heights.
