Brown & Brown is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Producer to drive profitable growth through new business development, strategic relationship management, and customized risk advisory solutions. This role is ideal for a proven commercial insurance sales professional who can identify opportunities, advise clients on complex risk needs, and leverage Brown & Brown’s market access, service teams, and national platform to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, centers of influence, and targeted market outreach.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, executives, risk managers, carrier partners, and key decision-makers.
- Identify client exposures and develop customized insurance and risk management strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct risk management discussions, coverage reviews, stewardship meetings, renewal strategy sessions, and new business presentations.
- Collaborate with internal service, marketing, claims, carrier relations, and placement teams to prepare proposals and negotiate coverage solutions.
- Present and sell new business and renewal recommendations, including value-added services and risk management resources.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing ongoing guidance on coverage, market conditions, claims concerns, and risk improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline data, prospect information, and client communication in Microsoft Dynamics or other designated CRM tools.
- Represent Brown & Brown in the marketplace through participation in industry associations, civic organizations, trade groups, and networking events.
- Promote teamwork, knowledge sharing, and a positive culture across the department and Profit Center.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License in good standing.
- Proven success in commercial insurance sales, business development, or risk advisory services.
- Strong technical understanding of commercial insurance products, coverage structures, risk management principles, and carrier marketplace dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, generate new revenue, and advise commercial clients.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, communication, and consultative selling skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel routinely for client meetings, prospecting activity, networking events, and business development opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working with middle-market, large commercial, or industry-specialized clients.
- Established relationships within the local business community, carrier marketplace, or targeted industry verticals.
- Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance sales technology platforms.
