Medical Assistant II

Job Description Summary ‎ Responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. ‎ How will you make an impact & Requirements ‎ Provides front and/or back-office support. Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice protocols and workflows. Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared. Interviews patient measures vital signs and records reason for visit. Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication. Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete. Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Reconciles co-payments at the end of each day. Minimum Requirements: Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required. For Caremore Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position. ‎ Compensation Range: $24.00 to $36.00 The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
