A Brief Overview Clean and sanitize animal caging and accessory equipment.
What you will do
- 1) Perform routine cleaning, descaling, and preventative maintenance on the cage washers and autoclaves, including checking and cleaning filters and spray manifolds.
- 2) Process clean caging and accessory equipment appropriately, including putting bedding into cages and autoclaving cages and supplies.
- 3) Assist in sanitation and decontamination in all areas of the facility.
- 4) Understand and follow appropriate SOPs, safety procedures, and quality assurance guidelines.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Required
Skills and Abilities
- Some knowledge of disinfectant use and operating knowledge of autoclaves, cagewashers, conveyer belts, bedding dispensers, bottle fillers and high pressure & steamcleaning devices preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) - American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) - - Preferred or
- Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) - American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) - - Preferred or
- Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) - American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) - - Preferred

SALARY RANGE:
$24.02 - $27.03 Hourly
Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
