Job Description

The capacity engineer will collaborate with engineering team, cost and financial team on new product capacity ramp up, execution flawless, lead the optimizations and drive the cost reductions. To expedite time to market and revenue ramp of high-speed optical transceiver modules.

Key Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive capacity management framework, including processes, and tools for capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization
  • Create short-term (quarterly) and long-term (annual/3-year) capacity plans, including resource allocation, scaling strategies), turn Capacity plan to Capex plan and align with Finance on execution
  • Prepare and present capacity reports, insights into the management team to support data-driven decision-making
  • Weekly capacity dashboard review, capacity progress update, gap analysis and coordination with multiple teams
  • Lead new product test capacity fast ramp up in early production phase
  • Implement capacity optimization and improvement initiatives, include but not limited to drive Capex saving projects: cycle time reduction, test time reduction, process optimization to improve equipment flexibility, etc.
  • Coordinate to pull in Lead time and schedules, introduction for low cost & short lead time equipment
  • Capital investment ROI Analysis: NPV analysis for capacity ramp up

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electric Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant major.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting optics products test or process.
  • Experience with project management, cost management and capacity management, good at either one of these areas
  • Good excel skills and Presentation skills, capability to present the progress
  • Structure thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Some travel is required
