INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT: Performs responsible work in supervising the overall operational requirements of the Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program involving Permitting Activities, Enforcement and Regulatory Activities, Investigative and Inspection Activities, Project Management of Remedial Activities, Sampling Activities, Laboratory Data Review, and Records Retention. Oversight of the Silver Program, Multi-Jurisdictional Activities, Compliance Reporting, and the Revenue Meter Program. Prepares performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates; counsels employees regarding meeting performance requirements; recommends awards, training and disciplinary actions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Environmental Manager and performance is reviewed through conferences, reports, and results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications: INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT: Associate's Degree with major coursework in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years combined experience in industrial pretreatment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Industrial Pretreatment Level ""A"" Certificate required. Must meet minimal requirements for Environmental Specialist III. FDEP Field Audits/Certifications in all applicable disciplines for environmental data and sample collection is desired. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must obtain a GOAA Id within ninety (90) days of employment.
