This is a truly rare opportunity for an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN seeking flexibility, variety and competitive compensation while maintaining the stability and benefits of a full-time Cleveland Clinic position.

The Enterprise Staffing Resource (CCSR) Med-Surg Telemetry RN supports staffing needs across 10 Cleveland Clinic Northeast Ohio facilities, including Fairview Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Euclid Hospital, Medina Hospital, Mentor Hospital, Avon Hospital, South Pointe Hospital, Main Campus and Marymount Hospital. This role offers the unique combination of a variety of patient populations, exposure to multiple care teams and an hourly rate comparable to agency traveler positions, all while providing access to Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule for role:

  • Full-time position
  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week
  • No holiday requirements
  • Two Friday shifts and four weekend shifts within each six-week scheduling period

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound procedures and practices.
  • Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined timeframes.
  • Assess and document patients’ pain levels, utilizing appropriate protocols.
  • Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family and healthcare team.
  • Monitor and document patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
  • Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
  • Plan delivery of patient care in collaboration with other disciplines that promote wellness and facilitate the discharge process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • A minimum of four years of recent acute care experience in areas utilizing telemetry monitoring, such as cardiac, stepdown, med/surg, concentrated care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or America Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Standard Rate of Pay: $65 per hour
