ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary:
Colorado Mesa University is seeking two qualified applicants for Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing positions. The standard teaching load is 12 course credit hours per semester or 24 credits over an academic year.
This position seeks candidates with at least two years of medical-surgical and/or critical care nursing expertise. Experience in critical care settings, such as ICU, Emergency Department, or Telemetry, is highly preferred.
This position carries ongoing responsibility for curriculum development, planning, teaching, guiding, monitoring, and evaluating student learning in the classroom and clinical practice settings to support continuous improvement of courses and clinical experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
Salary:
$60,000-$70,000 (master’s prepared); $70,000-$80,000 (doctoral prepared)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications
Or a written plan for obtaining such knowledge beginning no later than the first year of teaching.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, colleagues, and community partners.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practice situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
