Summary:
The pharmacist provides professional pharmaceutical services to patients, healthcare providers, and hospital staff. The pharmacist ensures safe, optimal pharmaceutical therapy outcomes through the verification and dispensing of medication. All activities are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations with the health and welfare of the patient paramount.
Education:
- Graduate from an American Council on Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy.
Certification/Licensure:
- Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist. Pharmacist licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
