Cans Deco Mechanic

Job Description:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of can decorating machinery within our manufacturing facility. Ensures efficient production and high-quality decorated cans.

Job Responsibilities:** * Perform routine preventative maintenance on can decorating equipment, including printers, coaters, and ovens. * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decoration lines. * Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. * Set up and adjust machinery for various can sizes and decoration specifications. * Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to optimize production efficiency and product quality. * Participate in the installation and commissioning of new decorating machinery. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. * Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies during maintenance operations. * Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve operational issues. * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Job Qualifications:** * Completed vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field. * Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably within a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in can-making or packaging machinery. * Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. * Proficiency in using various hand and power tools. * Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication skills. * Willingness to work shifts and participate in on-call rotations as required. * Basic computer literacy for record-keeping.
