Salesforce Developer

The Role

We are hiring a Salesforce Developer to join our growing Salesforce engineering team in Madrid. This is a platform development role — you are not locked into a single functional area. One sprint you may be building a Quote-to-Cash enhancement, the next a Service Cloud automation, the next a platform-wide integration or a reusable LWC used across the org.

We are looking for a builder with a bias for action — someone who picks up an ambiguous request, talks to the stakeholder directly, figures out what actually needs to happen, and ships it. If you would rather go get things done than wait for a fully groomed ticket, you will do well here. The scope of this role grows with the team, and the person in this seat should expect a path into our deep specialist and senior engineering roles.

This role will give you real ownership from day one — you ship to production yourself, not through layers of handoff. Platform-wide scope builds a far broader skill set than a single-domain role, with direct mentorship from Solution Architects and Staff Developers on a growing team that offers a clear path into senior and specialist engineering roles.

What You'll Do

- Build and maintain solutions across the Salesforce platform — using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and configuration — choosing the right tool for each problem.

- Work across functional domains: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ / Quote-to-Cash, Experience Cloud, and core platform, rather than specializing in one.

- Own features end-to-end — shape the requirement with the stakeholder, build it, test it, deploy it, and support it in production.

- Partner with Solution Architects and Staff Developers on solution design, design reviews, and code reviews — bring options and trade-offs to the table, execute the agreed approach, and uphold quality standards including unit test coverage.

- Build reusable platform foundations — data model, security and sharing, Apex services, and shared components that other engineers build on.

- Build and maintain custom integrations to enterprise systems, and extend, configure, and troubleshoot AppExchange managed packages within their supported boundaries.

- Collaborate with our dedicated integration / middleware team (who own MuleSoft, Boomi, and Workato) to design contracts and troubleshoot cross-system flows.

- Work alongside administrators, data, and DevOps teammates — and mentor newer team members as you grow into the role.

- Own your own deployments through Git, SFDX, and our CI/CD pipeline.

- Share production support duty for the platform — triage, root-cause analysis, hotfix, and long-term remediation.

- Use AI tools (e.g., Agentforce Vibes / vibe coding, Copilot, Claude) as part of your day-to-day workflow — we expect every engineer on the team to lean on AI to ship faster and better.

Required Qualifications

- 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience on the core platform.

- Strong, production-grade Apex skills — triggers, async patterns (batch, queueable, future, scheduled), governor-limit-aware design, and SOQL/SOSL.

- Solid hands-on experience building Lightning Web Components, plus working knowledge of Aura and Visualforce for maintaining existing code.

- Strong Salesforce Flow and declarative automation skills, with good judgment on when to build declaratively versus with code.

- Sound data model and security fundamentals — custom objects, relationships, record types, sharing model, profiles, and permission sets.

- Hands-on experience building custom integrations — REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, named credentials, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Bulk/Streaming APIs — including error handling, retry, and logging patterns.

- Experience integrating with and extending managed packages from the AppExchange — package boundaries, supported extension points, and debugging issues that span managed and custom code.

- Experience with Git, SFDX, and modern CI/CD tooling for Salesforce.

- Depth in at least one functional domain (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ / Quote-to-Cash, or Experience Cloud), and genuine interest in working across all of them.

- A get-it-done mindset: you take an under-specified problem, drive it to clarity yourself, and ship. You follow up, close loops, and do not need to be chased.

- Strong collaboration and communication skills — comfortable with Solution Architects, Staff Developers, administrators, and cross-functional technical teams, and equally comfortable translating a non-technical stakeholder's words into a working solution.

- Fluency in English, written and verbal — our team and stakeholders operate in English globally.

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

- Salesforce Certified Administrator

Preferred Certifications

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Platform App Builder, Agentforce Specialist, CPQ Specialist, Service Cloud Consultant, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Experience Cloud Consultant.

Nice to Have

- Experience at a hardware, storage, networking, or enterprise software company with a global sales, support, and partner ecosystem.

- Exposure to Salesforce CPQ or Revenue Cloud (bundles, pricing, product rules, renewals and amendments), Service Cloud (case management, omni-channel routing, entitlements, knowledge), or Experience Cloud / partner portals.

- Hands-on experience with managed packages we run today — Salesforce CPQ (SBQQ) and Advanced Approvals (sbaa), Conga Composer, Email-to-Case Premium, zAgile Connector for Jira, Centro, PagerDuty, OmniStudio, Salesforce for Slack, Vartopia — or comparable AppExchange packages, including owning package upgrades and release regression testing.

- Familiarity with the middleware platforms we use today (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato) and with integrating Salesforce to ERP, billing, or ITSM systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Zuora, ServiceNow).

- Prior hands-on use of AI development tools (Agentforce Vibes, vibe coding, Copilot, Claude) in a Salesforce context, including Agentforce agents, actions, or prompt templates.

- Additional European language skills, including Spanish, are welcome but not required.
