Sr Software Engineer

We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer for our Ecosystem team who will design, build, and deliver key components of DDN’s Ecosystem platform. This role will focus on developing robust, scalable, and high-performance software that integrates with modern storage, cloud, and containerized environments while working closely with engineering, product, and field teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Participate in the design and implementation of scalable software-defined storage components, with emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and integration with enterprise infrastructure.

- Drive technical design discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, build prototypes, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality product features from concept through release.

- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve the scalability, stability, reliability, and performance of solutions.

- Collaborate closely with teammates, architects, QA, product management, and support teams in an outcome-oriented environment focused on delivering practical customer value.

- Work closely with stakeholders to plan, execute, and successfully deliver product releases, including feature development, defect resolution, and release readiness activities.

- Contribute to and validate product documentation, ensuring technical accuracy, usability, and alignment with implemented functionality.

- Effectively manage assigned projects by breaking down work, tracking dependencies, communicating risks, and driving tasks to completion.

- Provide regular reports on project progress, technical activity, risks, and key accomplishments to ensure stakeholders remain informed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS/MS/Ph.D in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience.

EXPERIENCE:

- 8+ years of experience years of software development experience with file systems, concurrency, multithreading, server architectures and distributed systems.

- Excellent hands-on software development experience on scale-out and high availability storage solution.

- Experience in developing and debugging at system level C/C++, particularly for Linux/UNIX computing environments.

- Hadoop product development is highly preferred.
