What you'll do Docusign is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Security and Cloud Foundation team. In this role, you will help build and operate secure, reliable cloud-foundation capabilities, with a strong focus on infrastructure as code and Terraform, enabling Docusign teams to deliver and run services safely and efficiently. This is an early-career engineering role with opportunities to contribute across the software-development lifecycle: understanding requirements, designing solutions, writing production-quality code, testing changes, improving observability, and supporting services in production. You will work closely with experienced engineers, product partners, and security stakeholders while developing your technical depth and ownership. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Sr. Manager, Software Engineering Responsibility Design, implement, test, and maintain reliable software for identity and access-management systems Build, maintain, and improve reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code patterns for cloud platforms and shared services Build and integrate secure cloud services, APIs, and platform capabilities that support Docusign engineering teams Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, debugging, and root-cause analysis Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to automation and continuous-delivery practices Improve service reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational best practices Collaborate with engineers, product managers, security partners, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions Learn and apply secure software-development practices, IAM principles, and Docusign engineering standards Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. What you bring Basic Bachelor’s degree with no minimum related experience required Experience developing software through an internship, academic work, personal projects, or professional experience Experience with at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript Experience with data structures, algorithms, software design, and debugging Experience with building or consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational or non-relational data stores Preferred Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and learn new technologies quickly Commitment to writing secure, reliable, and maintainable software Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, including module development, state management, and reusable infrastructure patterns Experience with cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or infrastructure automation Familiarity with identity and access-management concepts, including authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or SAML Exposure to observability tools and practices, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting Experience working in an Agile or iterative software-development environment Interest in security engineering, distributed systems, or platform engineering Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: Washington: $99,000.00 - $144,200.00 base salary This role is also eligible for the following: Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance. Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
