ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times. • Adheres to hospital policies and procedures. • Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines. • Prepares special foods for regular and therapeutic diets as required by following individual patient menus. • Prepares nourishment for patients as designated on nourishment sheet. • Assembles prepared food on patient trays during trayline mealtimes • Ensures all food items for meals and nourishments are prepared according to menu and delivered at appropriate times. • Delivers carts to patient floors as specified. • Prepares all “early” and “late” trays as required. • Takes inventory of all nourishment food items kept in Nourishment Kitchens on each patient floor. • Cleans refrigerators in Diet Kitchen on a daily basis, removing out-dated items and items not needed for the day’s menu. • Replenishes beverages and foods needed on trayline. • Performs special cleaning duties as scheduled. • Attends all department and hospital in-services as assigned.

• Follows department policies and procedures for age-appropriate diets and preparation of food items for patient trayline. • Completes special cleaning assignments. • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
