Job Description:

Retrieve and return deco rolls to and from collating and sheeting areas. Assist in maintenance of deco roll inventory. These tasks will be performed under the direction of the material coordinator, crew leader, and supervisor. Performs other tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check sheeter and collator schedules to determine rolls to retrieve
  • Follows Oracle procedures for roll transactions
  • Assists in keeping roll inventory accurate and organized
  • Inspects rolling stock, changes batteries as needed, and reports any maintenance issues
  • Assists sheeting and collating operators with change outs as needed
  • Assists with rewinding of deco rainbow rolls or combining of small like pattern rolls
  • Return decorative rolls to roll inventory locations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards
  • Must be trained to operate fork/clamp lift and Drexel lift
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and understand production schedules
  • Working knowledge of Oracle inventory transactions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED

EXPERIENCE: 1+ years

Applicants must have six (6) months experience operating deco clamp lift plus

Six (6) months entry level experience in melamine or assembly

If no applicants possess this experience, the Company will accept applicants with one (1) year Wilsonart experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

Position consists of working rotating shift work and week-ends.

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
