MARE is a new eHealth technology hub in Venice, dedicated to research, innovation and Artificial Intelligence applications for healthcare.
The project is being developed in partnership with CompuGroup Medical (CGM), one of Europe's leading eHealth companies, driven by its mission:
“Nobody should suffer or die because at some point medical information was missing.”
As part of the growth of our Data & AI team in Venice, we are launching the MARE AI Health Masterclass 2026: two intensive days designed for talented young professionals, Master's students, recent graduates and PhD candidates who want to explore how their technical skills can be applied to real healthcare challenges.

About the Masterclass
The Masterclass will bring together 40 selected participants in Venice for two days of learning, collaboration and hands-on work.
You will have the opportunity to:
- meet the MARE Data & AI team, researchers and academic partners;
- learn more about the use of big data and Artificial Intelligence in healthcare;
- work in teams on a real healthcare-related scenario;
- visit the MARE site at the former Ospedale al Mare in Venice;
- take part in dedicated sessions to explore current and future career opportunities within MARE.
Participation is free of charge. Travel, accommodation and meals in Venice will be covered by MARE.
The Masterclass is part of the MARE Talent Program and is designed to identify talented candidates with the potential to join our growing team in Venice.
Our current objective is to identify 5–6 profiles for potential junior opportunities within MARE. All selected participants will also become part of the MARE Talent Pool for future openings.
What you will bring
We are mainly looking for Master's students about to graduate, recent graduates, PhD candidates and early-career researchers in areas such as:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Mathematics
- Data Science
- Computational Science
- or other related quantitative and technical disciplines.
Ideally, you have:
- a solid foundation in Python and data analysis, developed through university, research, personal projects or previous experience;
- familiarity with tools such as Pandas, SQL and Jupyter;
- a good understanding of Machine Learning concepts;
- experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus;
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- genuine curiosity about AI applied to healthcare;
- the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment;
- English language skills of at least B2 level;
- a genuine interest in being part of an on-site technology and research community in Venice.
Previous professional experience in healthcare is not required.
