Job Description:
Plans, schedules, and routes imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from international destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage, and customs transaction compliance. Assesses and maintains compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products. Researches and resolves customer or supplier issues. Interfaces with internal and external worldwide import/export operations and organizations. Negotiates with international customers to develop handling agreements. Acts as liaison with US customs representatives to resolve problems. General application of concepts and principals to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of a moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
