Asset Management Intern - Summer 2027

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Asset Management Intern – Summer 2027. In this role, qualified candidates will focus on administrative, data, and operational support for facilities condition assessments and related projects. You will gain experience in asset lifecycle management, data compilation, compliance tracking, and operational readiness.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in on-site assessments of existing facilities
• Perform quality take-offs from design documents
• Compile and reconcile data from project documents and offering materials.
• Analyze building component replacement cost data
• Organize assessment workflows for asset professionals
• Perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
• Support local project engineering with technical requests.

What You’ll Need:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering or Construction Management program. Other technical, related degrees will be considered.
• Experience with Microsoft Office required
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
• Basic understanding of building systems
• Ability to read and understand design drawings
• Ability to work on several multi-discipline projects simultaneously
• Encourages and supports a safety-oriented culture
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive work ethic

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This position typically has work that is performed in both an office environment and in the field in existing facilities
• Work requires lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, and other physical exertion including driving an automobile, etc.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
