Expert in Indirect Tax

This is a hybrid role. Upon agreement between you and your supervisor, you are entitled to a flexible arrangement where you will be able to split your time between working from the office and working remotely.

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Expert to support the newly formed global indirect tax function. This role will be instrumental to support the global rollout of SAP S/4HANA and VERTEX and also to ensure consistent and compliant indirect tax processes across all jurisdictions, while supporting respective local ongoing compliance obligations.

Your responsibilities:

• Support the integration of indirect tax requirements within the SAP S/4HANA and VERTEX implementation, ensuring accurate tax determination, reporting, and automation.
• Prepare local indirect and statistic tax filings, mainly (but not limited to) for EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries
• Establish and support standardized indirect tax processes and controls to drive accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
• Support monitoring of global indirect tax developments
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Legal, and Operations to ensure tax requirements are embedded in business processes and systems.

Our requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law; professional tax qualification preferred.
• Relevant experience in indirect tax for EU countries and other countries ROW (not US), ideally within a multinational environment or Big Four firm.
• Strong knowledge of global VAT/GST regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience with ERP tax systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and VERTEX or similar tax automation tools.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
