Regional Director - Annuity Sales, SE Territory

Job Summary

Sales activity will be conducted through F&G's IMO distribution channel, primarily serving independent financial professionals and Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs). The Regional Director is responsible for strengthening existing advisor relationships, developing new relationships, and serving as a proactive, high-touch sales resource within an assigned geographic territory. The position is expected to provide highly personalized support to advisors and serve as a trusted partner in helping drive sales growth across the territory.

The position is expected to travel throughout the territory to deepen existing relationships, foster new opportunities, and drive annuity sales. In collaboration with the National Sales VP, National Accounts VPs, National Account Managers, and Senior Internal Wholesalers, the Regional Director will develop and execute a territory sales plan and will be expected to meet or exceed established goals.

The Regional Director is expected to maintain expert knowledge of F&G products, programs, practices, and resources, along with a strong working knowledge of the competitive landscape. The position will use company systems, reporting, and available resources to identify opportunities, prioritize activity, and provide meaningful and actionable sales insights.

This position reports directly to the National Sales VP, Annuity Distribution and will support the follow states; AL, FL, GA, KY, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV

Duties and Responsibilities

• Field Sales Activity and Travel: Conduct in-person sales activity throughout the assigned territory, including advisor/producer meetings, training seminars, agent conferences, back-office training meetings, appointments, and other field-based engagements. Travel is expected to represent a minimum of 50% of the role.
• Advisor Relationship Management and Business Development: Develop and maintain successful business relationships with advisors through frequent, proactive communication and visitation. Identify new advisor relationships and business opportunities and support them through targeted sales campaigns, phone calls, follow-up, and virtual meetings.
• Territory Strategy and Sales Planning: Develop and execute a territory sales plan in collaboration with sales leadership and key distribution partners. Strategically prioritize advisor opportunities, travel, competing activity requests, and sales initiatives to maximize annuity sales and territory impact.
• Sales Reporting, Salesforce, Targeting and Activity Documentation: Utilize company reporting, Salesforce, and other available data and resources to identify opportunities, evaluate territory trends, direct sales activity, and maintain timely and accurate documentation of advisor interactions, opportunities, and follow-up.
• Expense, Sponsorship and Territory Resource Management: Manage travel, entertainment, sponsorship, and other territory resources responsibly. Complete accurate expense reporting in a timely manner, identify opportunities for efficiency and return on investment, and operate within guidelines established by management.

Role Expectations

• Product, Program and Competitive Expertise: Maintain thorough and current knowledge of F&G products, practices, programs, and resources, as well as the competitive landscape. Apply this expertise to effectively position F&G solutions, support advisor needs, and identify sales opportunities.
• Internal Collaboration and Sales Coordination: Collaborate effectively with the National Sales VP, National Accounts VPs, National Account Managers, Senior Internal Wholesalers, and other internal partners to coordinate sales activity, share relevant territory insights, and support broader distribution objectives.
• Communication: Communicate key product, competitive, relationship, and territory information effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and presentation skills across advisor meetings, internal discussions, training, and other sales activities.
• Accountability and Follow-Through: Demonstrate ownership of commitments, maintain strong organization and follow-up, and consistently execute against territory priorities and established sales objectives.
• Culture and Collaboration: Contribute to F&G's culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Participate actively in team discussions, share best practices, and support the success of the broader sales organization.
• Professional Development: Maintain a coachable mindset and commitment to continued development of industry, product, competitive, sales, and professional expertise.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; Business or Marketing preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• Industry-recognized designation preferred, such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP.
• 3+ years of wholesaling experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative home office environment.
• Expert knowledge and proficiency (or the ability to develop proficiency) in company applications, including but not limited to Salesforce, illustration software, MS Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong time management, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
• Insurance industry and/or securities knowledge.
• Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization.
• Coachable mindset and commitment to continuous development.
• Strong PC skills.

Other Requirements

• Perform other functions, duties, and projects as assigned.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Approximately 50% travel is required.
