Title and Summary
Director, Product Management
Overview
We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Director of Product Management to lead a team responsible for high-priority Open Finance payment solutions: a new-to-market capability designed to enable more seamless and intelligent digital payment experiences, and an AI/ML-powered payment risk suite designed to predict and prevent ACH returns and fraud.
This is a uniquely compelling product leadership opportunity, combining the energy and ownership of building a new product from 0–1 with the reach, complexity, and impact of leading highly scaled solutions. This leader will shape portfolio strategy, translate customer and market needs into differentiated products, and guide solutions across the full product lifecycle- from early-stage innovation and launch through commercialization, optimization, and scale.
Role
• Portfolio Strategy: Define and execute the vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities across the portfolio, balancing near-term delivery with long-term innovation and growth. • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers, establishing clear ownership, priorities, and operating rhythms while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. • Product Development: Guide products from 0–1 concept development through iterative delivery, launch, and scale, ensuring clear requirements, disciplined prioritization, and strong partnership with engineering, data science, design, operations, and go-to-market teams. • AI/ML Product Leadership: Partner closely with Data Science and Engineering to develop, optimize, and scale predictive payment risk models, fraud management capabilities, and decisioning experiences that deliver measurable customer outcomes. • Customer and Market Insight: Engage directly with financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, and partners to validate value propositions, understand unmet needs, monitor competitive and technology trends, and translate insights into the roadmap. • Commercialization: Develop product positioning, pricing, business cases, and go-to-market plans that support adoption, revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. • Executive and Cross-Functional Leadership: Communicate a compelling product vision to executive leadership and align stakeholders across engineering, data science, sales, marketing, legal, privacy, operations, and support to drive decisions and execution. • Measurement and Optimization: Establish clear success metrics, evaluate product and model performance, and use data and customer feedback to continuously improve outcomes.
All About You
• Solid product management experience, including experience leading product managers or multidisciplinary product teams. • Demonstrated success defining strategy and launching and scaling cloud-based or API-enabled products, preferably in payments, fintech, open banking, fraud, or risk. • Experience taking products from 0–1 while also managing established products with revenue, customer, reliability, and performance commitments. • Strong understanding of AI/ML product development and experience partnering with Data Science teams to translate model capabilities into customer value. • Ability to navigate technical concepts, data-driven products, APIs, payment flows, risk decisioning, and platform dependencies. • Proven commercial judgment, including experience with market analysis, pricing, business cases, go-to-market planning, and product profitability. • Excellent executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to create alignment across complex global organizations. • Strong customer orientation and experience engaging financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, or other enterprise clients. • Experience operating in Agile product development environments and using product planning and delivery tools such as Confluence and JIRA. • Knowledge of open banking, ACH payments, card payments, fraud, data privacy, and security practices is preferred.
Key Behaviors
• Strategic and Decisive: Creates clarity from ambiguity, makes thoughtful trade-offs, and connects portfolio choices to customer and business outcomes. • Execution Focused: Establishes clear priorities, owners, and milestones and works with urgency to move complex initiatives forward. • People Leader: Builds an inclusive, high-performing team through coaching, candid feedback, empowerment, and accountability. • Customer Focused: Understands and champions customer needs while balancing usability, risk, feasibility, and commercial impact. • Curious and Innovative: Asks the right questions, embraces experimentation, and identifies new ways to apply data and technology to payment challenges. • Collaborative and Influential: Leads effectively across functions and levels, including when authority is shared or indirect. • Resilient: Maintains composure and momentum amid evolving requirements, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
