Overview Payment Networks Technology is seeking a Client Solutions Architecture Director to lead the architectural strategy, governance, and technical direction of our client solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring the development of scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing solution that meet client needs and best utilise our product solutions portfolio. Role Candidates for this role are expected to possess a broad range of technical, leadership, and solution architecture skills and will be required to undertake the following responsibilities: • Provide leadership and direction to the Client Solutions Architecture function, driving architectural excellence and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing client solutions.

• Lead and develop team of Client Solutions Architects, including objective setting, performance management, coaching, talent development and succession planning.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Clients, Senior Architects and stakeholders across Payment Networks to define and deliver solutions that support client, business and technology objectives.

• Serve as a senior subject matter expert for client solutions.

• Work with clients, product management, and technology stakeholders to define and drive client technology roadmaps.

• Lead innovation initiatives across Real Time Payments and Value-Added Services, working with Product Management, Engineering, and Architecture teams to identify market opportunities, assess emerging technologies, and drive the development of new capabilities that strengthen Mastercard's competitive position and support future growth.

All About You --- • Significant experience of working in a technical capacity (Professional Services or Product Development) for a commercial software product organisation or ISV (Independent Software Vendor).

• Proven experience leading system architecture for complex, large-scale, distributed systems, with a track record of delivering scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions.

• Strong ability to communicate complex architectural concepts and technical strategies clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives, customers, and delivery teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across diverse business and technology groups.

• Deep understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap definition through delivery, implementation, and operational support.

• Technical background with hands-on software engineering experience in the application or database domain.

• Demonstrated ability to assess emerging technologies, drive innovation, and translate technology opportunities into business value.

• Ideally demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing architecture teams, including talent management, succession planning, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

• Ideally, experience within the payments industry and a strong understanding of payment processing platforms, networks, and associated regulatory and operational requirements.
