Our Toronto office is looking for an Account Director, Client Experience, Healthcare, who is a seasoned public relations consultant responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts including some of Canada’s largest pharmaceutical and wellness brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead account client service to foster relationship-building, open dialogue, strategic counsel, and thought leadership.
  • Facilitate integration efforts between the agency and its partners (other agencies or corporate partners).
  • Partner with senior counselors in the development of communication strategies.
  • Oversee execution of client strategies and implementation of tactical plans.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists, including media relations, digital communications, and creative teams.
  • Manage projects, budgets, and billing processes.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Canadian regulations related to traditional media, social media and influencer engagement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Six to seven years of agency experience, with a strong focus on healthcare and pharmaceutical corporate/product brands.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and social media within the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated experience developing relationships with third-party organizations (such as patient advocacy groups), healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers; represent the agency and/or clients at external meetings and various events (conferences, third-party briefings, events, etc.).
  • Have hands-on experience navigating regulatory frameworks for healthcare products (such as the Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board [PAAB], Advertising Standards Canada [ASC], and Health Canada).
  • Master social media and digital communication techniques, including a solid
  • Proven ability to translate strategic ideas into actionable, realistic plans.
  • Ability to delegate projects effectively to junior team members.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong administrative writing capabilities.
  • Sound financial acumen and ease in managing budgets.
  • Ability to deliver ambitious projects within pre-established parameters.
  • University degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.

Salary Range: $ 95,000 - $130,000
