Agency:

RAPP

Job Function:

Data and Analytics

Job Subfunction:

Job Description:

WHO WE ARE

We are RAPP – world leaders in activating growth with precision and empathy at scale.

As a global, next-generation precision marketing agency we leverage data, creativity, technology, and empathy to foster client growth. We champion individuality in the marketing solutions we create, and in our workplace. We fight for solutions that adapt to the individual’s needs, beliefs, behaviours, and aspirations.

We foster an inclusive workplace that values diversity and emphasises personal well-being.

DATA ANALYTICS

The Data Analytics team at RAPP is a driving force behind the agency's success. Sitting within a wider Marketing Sciences team, we drive value for our clients by delivering work that helps them to market and run their businesses more effectively and efficiently, empowering them to make data-driven decisions that directly impact performance and drive measureable results.

THE ROLE

As an Analyst, you will work on a specific client or workstream. Initially under the supervision of a more senior member of the team, you will quickly start to take ownership of your own deliverables. Some of the projects and tasks you may work on include:

  • Setting up a simple test and learn plan for a client’s marketing and CRM activities
  • Using RAPP’s AI tools to provide clients with insights on what creative elements of a campaign are working, and why
  • Creating a customer profile for a specific audience subset and reporting back to a client
  • Providing post campaign analysis reporting for clients that tell them what elements of a campaign worked and how they should optimise the activity moving forward
  • Supporting the experience strategy team in the creation of a data-driven customer journey
  • Building a KPI tree or measurement framework that tells a client the key metrics they should track and try to move

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a working knowledge of SqL and/or Python, and can independently write code to pull data from a cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • You will have experience working agency, consulting or client side with customer- or customer related datasets - think marketing analytics, sales analysis, product analysis, consumer profiling etc). If you don’t have this experience, you have a demonstrable interest in growing your experience in this area and can show how what you’ve done before will help you do this
  • More important than your technical skills and your past experience is your attitude, and what makes you tick.
  • You are curious, ask a lot of questions and are most interested in the “why” of data – what it means, and what clients should do with it.
  • That curiosity extends to a desire to understanding a dataset and not just taking it at face value – you are accurate, detail-oriented and if a piece of data looks wrong, you’ll want to know why that might be.
  • You will want to work independently even if that doesn’t happen on Day 1, and you will have an interest and desire in presenting your findings to the rest of your team and to clients, even if you don’t have much experience of doing that yet.
  • You’ll get a kick working across multiple teams (at a client level and an analytics level), learning from others and sharing things you’ve learned with you

ABOUT YOU – NICE TO HAVES

You will likely work across some of the following areas in your RAPP career and experience of any of the below is a plus; if you have experience of none of these things but think you fit the main criteria, we’d still love to hear you.

  • Web and social analytics
  • Dashboarding/visualization
  • Working with cloud environments in an engineering capacity
  • Statistics
  • Marketing orchestration/ad tech tools/stacks (Salesforce/Braze/Adobe/DSPs etc)
  • Basic customer segmentation and modeling
  • Test and learn programmes
  • Campaign analysis
  • Customer journey/experience planning
