Job Description:
The Senior Director, Partnerships is a key commercial leadership role within the Omnicom Media organization. The role is responsible for managing and expanding strategic relationships with media owners, publishers, platforms, and other supply-side partners while supporting the development and execution of commercially advantageous trading arrangements. This role sits at the intersection of partnership strategy, commercial negotiations, deal execution, and inventory management. The Senior Director will work closely with senior leadership and internal teams to structure and negotiate partnership agreements, track deal economics and commitments, manage inventory pacing, and ensure critical partnership information is efficiently communicated across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the media marketplace, proven commercial and negotiation skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex relationships and transactions in a fast-paced trading environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Partnership Strategy & Development
- Manage strategic relationships with key media owners, publishers, platforms, and supply-side partners.
- Support the development of partnership strategies that create differentiated value and commercial opportunities for OMnet.
- Identify new partnership opportunities across emerging and established media channels.
- Evaluate partner proposals, commercial structures, inventory opportunities, and potential economics.
- Develop recommendations for senior leadership based on partner capabilities, market dynamics, and commercial considerations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving media marketplace and competitive trading landscape.
Commercial Negotiation & Deal Structuring
- Lead and support negotiations with media and supply-side partners across pricing, inventory, terms, commitments, and other commercial considerations.
- Develop and negotiate deal structures that align partner economics with OMnet's trading objectives.
- Work with senior leadership to evaluate and approve key commercial terms.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders through the negotiation and approval process to ensure deals are executed efficiently.
- Maintain clear documentation of negotiated terms, commitments, pricing, and other key deal details.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial terms and enhance the overall value of existing partnerships.
- Escalate material commercial, legal, or execution issues to senior leadership.
Deal Management & Execution
- Own day-to-day management of assigned partnership agreements from negotiation through execution.
- Maintain accurate deal trackers covering partner terms, pricing, inventory, commitments, launch dates, and outstanding actions.
- Ensure negotiated terms are accurately reflected in deal documentation and internal systems.
- Coordinate with trading, investment, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor open deal items and proactively drive resolution of outstanding issues.
- Establish consistent processes for managing deal amendments, renewals, extensions, and new opportunities.
Inventory Management & Pacing
- Monitor inventory commitments and utilization across the partnership portfolio.
- Track delivery and pacing against negotiated commitments and identify potential under- or over-delivery risks.
- Partner with trading and investment teams to optimize inventory utilization and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Provide regular visibility into inventory availability, utilization, remaining commitments, and upcoming opportunities.
- Proactively communicate inventory changes and pacing considerations to relevant stakeholders.
- Help develop scalable tools and processes for managing inventory across multiple partners and deals.
Partner Relationship Management
- Serve as a senior day-to-day contact for assigned strategic partners.
- Build trusted relationships with partner executives and commercial teams.
- Establish regular communication and business review processes to assess partnership performance and opportunities.
- Work with partners to resolve commercial and operational issues efficiently.
- Maintain strong awareness of partner priorities, capabilities, and evolving commercial offerings.
- Represent OMnet professionally and strategically in partner discussions and negotiations.
Internal Communication & Deal Governance
- Serve as a central source of information regarding partnership terms, deal status, inventory, pricing, and commitments.
- Develop clear and efficient processes for disseminating partnership information across OMnet.
- Provide senior leadership with concise updates on deal status, commercial negotiations, inventory pacing, and key risks.
- Develop standardized reporting and tracking tools to improve visibility across the partnership portfolio.
- Ensure relevant teams are informed of material changes to partnership terms or availability in a timely manner.
- Establish strong governance around deal documentation, approvals, and ongoing partner management.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with trading, investment, finance, legal, operations, analytics, and other internal teams to execute partnership agreements.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders and ensure clear accountability for deal-related deliverables.
- Support senior leadership in preparation for key negotiations, partner meetings, and commercial reviews.
- Identify process improvements that increase efficiency, transparency, and scalability across the partnerships function.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the partnerships team.
- Serve as a senior commercial resource and subject-matter expert for partnership-related matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in media, advertising, principal trading, investment, partnerships, sales, or a related commercial function.
- Strong understanding of the media supply ecosystem, including publishers, platforms, programmatic, video, CTV, digital, and emerging media.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing strategic partner relationships.
- Strong understanding of media economics, inventory, pricing, and commercial deal structures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple deals and commercial commitments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate deal economics and business implications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Ability to manage complex projects and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential commercial information.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with deal management, CRM, or trading systems is a plus.
- Experience within a media agency, principal trading organization, publisher, platform, or media technology company preferred.



$150,000-$180,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
