JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is looking for a Manager of Intelligence and Strategy to join their Global Intelligence team in Los Angeles, CA. You will research, analyze, and write tactical and strategic intelligence products for FOX and you will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop functional AI initiatives that advance the goals of the Global Security Department. You will report to the Associate Director, Global Intelligence, and develop/mentor at least one contracted intelligence analyst. You will be an integral part of the FOX Global Security team, leveraging your deep substantive knowledge of global security and geopolitics and your creative output and project management skills to influence some of the company’s most complex and strategically significant decisions.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, analyze, and process open-source information to produce strategic intelligence reports, presentations, travel briefs, and security risk assessments that provide FOX Global Security with site security, protective intelligence, travel security, and global awareness
  • Direct involvement with organizational strategic initiatives to seek greater efficiency and effectiveness through people, processes, and technology, including AI
  • As requested, develop and mentor contracted intelligence analysts and operators within the GSOC
  • Monitor, identify, and analyze worldwide internal and external threats against FOX Corp assets, productions, employees, reputation/brand; synthesizing information collected from government/non-government organizations, open source, and social media platforms to publish timely, contextual based risk assessments and intelligence reports
  • Foster relationships outside the Department to market and advertise security services enterprise-wide, which includes enhancing FOX Global Security’s website
  • Support operational and tactical intelligence needs by proactively identifying emerging threats, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) from various FOX Departments and Business Units, and publishing situational reports on imminent threats to the business
  • Respond effectively, verbally and in writing, to key departments such as EHS, HR, Corp Comms, Legal, Travel, Cyber/InfoSec, Real Estate, etc., on requests for strategic or tactical intelligence support
  • Drive solutions and training to operational problems throughout the Department offering productive and functional recommendations, supporting individual teams with deploying their own useful technological fixes (i.e., AI), if applicable
  • Be an active partner in the constant reevaluation of products and output to maximize efficiency and readership; engaging with customer feedback and adapting to their needs as requested
  • Travel as necessary to assist with major event support, including to lead transportation program efforts (FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, etc.)
  • Assist with the design and development of tailored, scalable crisis management plans across the business that are flexible and adaptable, especially for major events support. Incorporate a risk-based approach to support a continuous audit, update, and streamlining of existing plans
  • Develop and maintain relationships with studio intelligence partners, federal law enforcement, and other public agencies (DSAC, OSAC, InfraGard, etc.)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • At least 3+ years experience in the intelligence field, whether private or public sector, and a deep understanding of the intelligence cycle and its application in a dynamic corporate security environment
  • Experience in the entertainment industry: broadcast, television, etc.
  • Analytical and creative thinker with the ability to break down complex ideas to create a tailored, efficient strategy
  • An interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and their productive and functional application in the workplace
  • A deep appreciation for current domestic and global affairs, geopolitics, and history – be an avid consumer of multiple points of view and have the ability to think critically to articulate issues in a straightforward manner
  • Effective presentation and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with a variety of audiences including executives, talent, clients, and employees
  • Ability to quickly forge productive relationships and build networks at all levels, internally and externally to FOX
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision, at times under adverse and stressful conditions
  • Proven ability to accurately draw conclusions by synthesizing raw data and information from multiple, unrelated sources into a tailored, comprehensive product

  • Ability to work independently in a dispersed virtual team structure
  • Experience with open source intelligence tools and techniques
  • Experience with mapping and/or intelligence/information management systems
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and travel, sometimes on short notice

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor’s degree desirable in a field related to intelligence or global security and/or 5+ years of experience as an intelligence analyst or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Formal certifications in intelligence collection, collection management, intelligence analysis, or other intelligence disciplines from a government agency

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-110,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
