ED Patient Access Representative (Part Time, Evenings)

The Vascular Access Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of advanced vascular access devices (PICC, midline, ultrasound guided PIV’s). Serves as a clinical resource and consultant to other healthcare professionals and will collaborate, coordinate and educate as needed to enhance excellence in the delivery of high quality patient care.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Stand for up to 4 hours a day. Walk up to 4 hours a day. Consistently lift, carry and push objects. Positioning of patients while in bed and out in chair. Frequently stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level.
EDUCATION:
Current RN License required. Successful completion of PICC and Midline training Implanted port and Dialysis catheter competency validation on a periodic basis VA-BC preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years in acute care hospital setting. Demonstrated proficiency with ultrasound guided IV techniques. Ability to work independently.
