Job Description

Role Purpose

The Advisory Governance & COO Office Managing Consultant is a nearshore-based role supporting the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Advisory business in driving effective business governance, performance management, and execution discipline.

The role acts as an extension of the COO Office, providing structured support across action management, decision tracking, executive reporting, governance cadence, and follow-through. The individual will work across Advisory leadership and functional teams to ensure priorities are clearly tracked, commitments are progressed, and the COO has timely and accurate visibility of business performance and issues requiring attention.

This is a high-visibility internal consulting role requiring strong business acumen, executive communication, structured problem-solving, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the Advisory organization.

Core Responsibilities

1. Action & Decision Management

· Own and maintain action logs, decision registers, and priority trackers across the Advisory business.

· Capture actions, commitments, decisions, owners, timelines, and dependencies arising from leadership meetings and governance forums.

· Ensure actions are clearly defined, assigned, and tracked through to closure.

· Maintain visibility of critical and overdue actions for the COO and Advisory leadership.

· Track key decisions and ensure appropriate communication and follow-through across relevant teams.

· Maintain a single, reliable view of outstanding business priorities and commitments.

2. Follow-ups, Escalations & Execution Discipline

· Proactively drive follow-ups with senior stakeholders and action owners to ensure commitments are delivered.

· Identify overdue, blocked, or at-risk actions and determine appropriate escalation routes.

· Prepare concise escalation summaries for the COO, highlighting the issue, impact, owner, and required intervention.

· Challenge delays and lack of progress constructively and professionally.

· Track escalated matters through to resolution and ensure agreed next steps are documented.

3. Advisory Leadership Governance

· Coordinate governance meetings, leadership forums, business reviews, and key operating rhythm activities.

· Prepare agendas, pre-reads, discussion materials, action summaries, and decision documentation.

· Capture key outcomes and translate discussions into clear actions and accountabilities.

· Maintain governance calendars and ensure required inputs are received from stakeholders on time.

· Support the COO in preparing for key leadership meetings and business reviews.

· Track key business initiatives and cross-functional priorities.

4. Executive & Leadership Support

· Serve as a trusted extension of the COO Office for coordination, analysis, and execution tracking.

· Prepare briefing materials, executive summaries, presentations, and talking points as required.

· Conduct targeted analysis and research to support COO decision-making.

· Respond to ad-hoc requests requiring rapid synthesis of information across the Advisory business.

· Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive business information.

Key Deliverables

· Accurate and current COO action and priority tracker.

· Decision register covering key Advisory leadership decisions.

· Governance meeting agendas, pre-reads, and action summaries.

· Timely escalation of overdue or high-priority actions.

· Leadership governance calendar and operating rhythm.

· Executive briefing materials and management presentations.

· Cross-functional priority and initiative tracking.

· Insights and analysis supporting COO decision-making.

Experience

· 6–10 years of experience in management consulting, internal consulting, strategy, transformation, PMO, business operations, or a similar role.

· Experience supporting C-suite executives, business unit leadership, or senior management teams.

· Strong experience in executive reporting, governance, business performance management, or strategic initiatives.

· Experience working across multiple functions and managing complex stakeholder environments.

· Consulting or professional services experience is highly desirable.

· Experience working in a nearshore delivery model and with geographically distributed leadership teams is preferred.

Skills & Capabilities

· Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Excellent PowerPoint and Excel capabilities; Power BI or similar dashboarding experience is advantageous.

· Strong ability to synthesize complex information into concise executive insights.

· Excellent organizational and project management skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of independence.

· Strong follow-through and influencing skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

· Strong business acumen and understanding of operating models and organizational performance.
