Are you looking to build a career in Inside Sales with an established company where you can use your customer service, sales, and mechanical skills? We’re looking for an energetic, self-driven, mechanically inclined Inside Sales Representative to join our team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with customers, Outside Sales Managers, Service Technicians, and manufacturers to identify solutions, provide product recommendations, prepare quotes, process orders, and help grow the business. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical product knowledge and sales skills while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

Essential Functions

• Provide outstanding customer service and sales support to customers and Outside Sales Managers
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone, email, and customer portals
• Answer technical product and application questions and help customers identify the right products or components for their needs
• Research and identify components using product catalogs, web-based catalogs, and internal resources
• Prepare accurate product quotations, including pricing, discounts, and shipping charges, in accordance with company guidelines
• Enter customer orders into the ERP system with a high level of accuracy
• Monitor and expedite customer orders to help meet required and promised delivery dates
• Work with Service Technicians, Outside Sales Managers, manufacturers, and suppliers to resolve technical and product-related issues
• Support Outside Sales Managers with quoting, order follow-up, expediting, and customer visits as needed
• Follow up on quotes and make outbound calls to support sales growth and customer relationships
• Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell products and solutions based on customer needs
• Continuously develop product, technical, customer service, and sales knowledge

Experience, Education and Skills

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2–4 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of customer service or Inside Sales experience; experience in industrial distribution or a related industry preferred
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to understand products, components, and customer applications
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, as well as email and other business software
• Experience with Trend ERP is a plus
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and follow-through
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging or stressful situations
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical standards
