Mid-Level Ground Systems Analyst

The Mid-Level Ground Systems Analyst will conduct advanced All-Source intelligence analysis and production focused on foreign military ground systems, weapons technologies, and associated capabilities. The analyst will assess current and emerging threats, evaluate foreign weapons systems and technologies, and produce intelligence products supporting Marine Corps capability development, acquisition programs, and operational decision-making.

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct All-Source intelligence analysis and production on foreign military ground systems, including platforms, sensors, motor transport, armor, anti-armor systems, artillery, firearms, explosives, logistics and maintenance, readiness, and missions.

Analyze and evaluate current and emerging foreign missile technologies, including missile system capabilities, vulnerabilities, advanced weapon systems, technical data, and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Analyze foreign precision weapon systems and indirect-fire weapon platforms to anticipate future technologies, identify new applications of mature technologies, and assess the potential impact of technology transfers.

Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and modelers to assess foreign weapons development processes, capabilities, technologies, and dual-use applications.

Analyze and assess current and future foreign lethal and non-lethal weapon systems, including system capabilities, vulnerabilities, production, stockpiles, deployment, proliferation, and potential impacts on U.S. and Coalition forces worldwide.

Provide portfolio-specific intelligence analysis, subject matter expertise, and intelligence production in support of mission requirements.

Conduct Threat Steering Groups with participants from U.S. Marine Corps Combat Development & Integration (CD&I) to identify key factors and significant risk drivers associated with potential materiel solutions, including impacts to lifecycle cost, performance, schedule, and other acquisition decisions.

Produce and deliver Validated Online Lifecycle Threat Reports (VOLTs), Critical Intelligence Parameters (CIPs), and Capability Development Threat Summaries.

Provide threat analysis and intelligence products supporting Marine Corps Acquisition Programs throughout the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process and in support of the Defense Acquisition System.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active TS/SCI security clearance with willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of that experience gained within the last two (2) years.

Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Demonstrated comprehensive mission knowledge and technical proficiency, reflecting completion of required developmental training and relevant experience.

Ability to analyze and clearly communicate insights derived from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, technically advanced, or seemingly unrelated.

Demonstrated ability to structure analysis using reporting trends while incorporating diverse analytical perspectives across analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or direction.

Strong ability to collaborate across the Intelligence Community (IC), including information sharing, driving collection efforts, and resolving analytical disputes.

Demonstrated experience producing clear, insightful, and comprehensive analytic products in support of defense intelligence.

Proven ability to lead analytic teams addressing complex or critical intelligence problems.

Experience guiding the selection, design, and application of analytic methodologies, including evaluating arguments and applying validated analytic techniques to challenge assumptions and competing perspectives.
