Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering.
  • Experience using machine learning and building solutions.
  • Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix).

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

As a part of Ads Solutions Engineering, a critical role within gTech Ads, you will focus on both solutioning and scaling at a global level, partnering with regional stakeholders, product teams and specialists, and re-envisioning the way gTech Ads goes to market across customer segments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create a bold technical goal in the ads solutions space empowering customers and teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect requirements, providing guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.
  • Scope, design, and build a series of solutions and best practices at a global level, to be reused by customers, sellers, partners.
  • Leverage engineering skills to adapt existing bespoke ads solutions created by regional teams into globally scaled solutions that can support thousands of customers.
  • Own solution life-cycle from discovery, to launch, handling maintenance bugs and feature requests, as well as deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.
  • Serve as technical consults with Google customers to help in data integration for better measurement and attribution.
