About the job
Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.
Within Infrastructure Construction & Asset Management (ICAM), the Data Center Land Development team stewards Google’s owned data centers and supporting infrastructure post-acquisition. We bridge the gap between raw land and construction, ensuring on-time capacity delivery by mitigating risk, securing complex land entitlements, and negotiating utility agreements to build a scalable real estate foundation.
As a Land Development and Portfolio Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams to lead pre-construction development on owned sites. You will take ownership of land-use entitlements, finalize provider agreements, and coordinate off-site infrastructure to ensure sites operate on schedule, within budget, and at full capacity. Serving as the primary site lead from post-acquisition through asset end-of-life, you will cultivate vital relationships with local jurisdictions, utility partners, and engineering teams to drive long-term operational success.
The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity.
