What You’ll Be Doing

May include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare ingredients for service in accordance with all restaurant SOP’s, procedures and recipes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with restaurant standards and local food code
  • Communicate effectively with chef and cook team
  • Executing demands efficiently in a high volume restaurant
  • Execution of monthly food inventory
  • Assist leadership with accountability and upholding standards
  • Coaching and training new and current teammates
  • Provide positive recognition
  • Assist during service when needed
  • Setting up and stocking stations when necessary
  • Ensuring that food is up to the restaurant standards

What You Need for this Position

  • 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Order management experience is a plus (tracking prep lists, inventory, or placing stock orders)
  • Advanced understanding of ingredients, kitchen equipment, procedures and various cooking methods
  • A team player who values collaboration, teamwork, and a smooth kitchen flow
  • Maintains a positive, enthusiastic attitude even during high-volume service
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for food prep
  • Professional and polite with strong kitchen communication skills
  • Reliable, organized, and proactive in getting the job done
  • Order management experience is a plus (tracking prep lists, inventory, or placing stock orders)
