Why This Role Matters:

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, compliance support, and continuous improvement of the benefits program. This role also leads the company’s wellness objectives, responsible for sustaining and elevating the established program.

How You'll Contribute:

Benefits Administration

  • Own day-to-day operations for the benefits program, which includes health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life and disability, wellness programs, tuition assistance, etc.
  • Serve as primary resource for employee benefit inquiries – escalate complex or sensitive issues to senior team members as needed
  • Monitor the Benefits mailbox and Workday Case Management queue – respond and resolve inquiries promptly and accurately
  • Review benefit change requests – validate the request, confirm required documentation, ensure accurate changes in Workday
  • Manage the tuition assistance lifecycle from preapproval to reimbursement
  • Support the leave of absence process in partnership with third party administrator
  • Support annual enrollment activities, including system configuration testing
  • Review and process vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Advise Payroll on benefit-related deduction adjustments

Wellness Program Leadership

  • Serve as wellness program manager – sustain established program and recommend enhancements that strengthen employee engagement
  • Develop, organize, and execute wellness events and challenges
  • Track and report on key wellness program metrics such as participation and engagement
  • Identify communication opportunities that align with overall Benefits and Wellness objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Employee Resource Group leaders; coordinate with external wellness vendor partners on program delivery

Compliance and Controls

  • Manage internal controls such as enrollment audits, COBRA audits, and data integration validation; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor the federal and state regulatory landscape to flag developments affecting benefit programs
  • Support compliance activities in partnership with senior team members, including data
  • preparation, participant notice distribution, and deadline tracking
  • Maintain foundational knowledge of company policies and procedures

Systems and Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as HRIS subject matter expert – work with HR Technology team on system testing, enhancements, process improvement, reporting, debugging, automation opportunities, etc.
  • Identify and recommend efficiency opportunities to foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Maintain library of standard operating procedures (SOPs), develop new SOPs as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Benefits team

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years related work experience, with strong working knowledge of employee benefits
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience coordinating or managing wellness programs, including measuring participation and implementing improvements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and follow-through
  • Strong Excel skills, including reconciling large data files
  • Experience with Workday HRIS preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Ability to handle confidential information and protected health information with discretion and in accordance with HIPAA
  • Ability to work independently while remaining adaptable to changing priorities
  • Professional demeanor while interacting with all levels of the organization
