Job Description:
Position is with the Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Board
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Licensing Supervisor, the Licensing Analyst compiles and organizes application materials into the required format and performs initial reviews of licensure and examination applications as they are received by the Board office.
This position is hybrid, with a standard schedule of three (3) days in the office and two (2) days working from home per week, based on operational needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be under the supervision of the Licensing Supervisor
- Communicate licensure and examination requirements, including required documentation, to applicants as needed and as directed.
- Conduct an initial review of all applications within seven (7) business days of receipt.
- Prepare and send correspondence to applicants identifying application deficiencies and requesting additional information or documentation, as applicable.
- Acknowledge receipt of complaints within seven (7) business days of receipt, communicate with the complainant as needed, and request additional information when appropriate.
- Conduct research to support report generation and special projects as directed.
- Provide information regarding licensees/applicants as requested by the Board.
- Identify potential improvements to the application process and make recommendations to the Licensing Supervisor.
- Process name and address changes within five (5) business days of receipt.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Licensing Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and business software applications.
- Knowledge of statutory and/or regulatory requirements (or ability to learn and apply them).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain requirements clearly and professionally.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of related experience in an office setting.
- Intermediate proficiency with common software products, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience.
