We are seeking a self-motivated Performance Measurement Analyst to join the Performance Measurement Group. In this role, you will support the delivery of investment performance, benchmarking, portfolio analytics, and reporting information used across client servicing, fundraising, marketing, and investment activities. You will work closely with Investor Relations, Client Service, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Portfolio Operations, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely performance information in support of the firm's global private markets platform.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the continued growth and operational independence of HarbourVest's APAC platform while partnering closely with global colleagues across the U.S. and Europe.
This role follows a hybrid work model which consists of 4 days in office per week. Additionally, you will receive 5 additional remote days per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval.

What you will do:
- Assist with timely and accurate completion of core deliverables including quarterly report reviews, preparation of track records, composites and performance data for marketing materials
- Partner with Sales Enablement, Product Marketing (Institutional & Wealth), Investor Relations, and Client Service teams to support the preparation of performance data for RFPs, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), marketing materials, client reporting, and other fundraising initiatives
- Assist internal teams with ad hoc data requests as needed
- Assist with compiling performance benchmarking analyses using industry benchmark providers (MSCI, Cambridge Associates, Preqin) and public market equivalent (PME) methodologies
- Identify and implement process changes to improve the timeliness and accuracy of performance data delivery
- Collaborate with technology teams to develop and improve system functionality and validate enhancements
- Develop effective controls to identify, research and resolve any performance data issues
- Assist with creating and updating standard operating procedures for uninterrupted performance reporting
What you bring:
- Familiarity with private/public markets investment performance concepts such as IRR, TVPI, DPI, TWR, PME, and benchmarking methodologies is preferred
- Ability and desire to work independently as well as part of a team
- Problem solving skills and ability to oversee execution of accurate and high-quality finished products
- Proven ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and meet key deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience in reconciling data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across different time zones
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, validate and reconcile data
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related area required
- Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and/or Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) is a plus
Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in investment performance and/or investment operations, ideally in private markets
