About the role

Shape the future of one of Hasbro’s largest and most beloved global franchises across entertainment, products, games, publishing and experiences. Reporting to Hasbro’s global franchise lead for entertainment brands, you will lead the franchise’s long-term strategy and commercial growth. You will unite global teams around a clear vision, identify the stories and opportunities with the greatest potential, and translate them into a cohesive plan that builds lasting audience connection.

Based in Boston or Los Angeles, you will build and develop a global franchise team and partner across Entertainment, Consumer Products, Marketing, Digital Gaming, Publishing and Experiences to ensure the brand feels consistent, relevant and meaningful wherever consumers encounter it.

A Day in the life:

Franchise strategy and growth

• Lead the five-year global franchise strategy, setting a clear vision, priorities and roadmap for creative and commercial growth.
• Define the brand’s positioning, audiences, architecture, identity and tone, giving global and regional teams a strong foundation for their work.
• Bring content, product, marketing, licensing, gaming, publishing, promotions and experiences into one connected global plan.
• Set revenue, profitability and brand-health goals, track performance and use insight to guide priorities and investment.
• Stay close to changes in consumer behaviour, culture, platforms, retail and the wider entertainment landscape, adapting the strategy when needed.

Consumer and commercial impact

• Set the franchise’s long-term storytelling priorities: which audiences, characters, worlds and themes to focus on, which stories the brand needs and why they matter.
• Partner with Entertainment and Production, who lead how those stories are developed and told, providing the franchise context and feedback needed to build audience connection and meaning.
• Work with Content Distribution to align platform, windowing and release plans with audience needs, partner opportunities and the franchise’s long-term goals.
• Translate entertainment into connected opportunities across products, marketing, games, publishing and experiences while protecting the integrity of the storytelling.
• Connect creative ambition to consumer and commercial outcomes, directing investment toward the strongest opportunities and partnering with Consumer Marketing, regional teams and external partners to grow audiences, affinity and demand with local relevance.

What you’ll bring:

• 10+ years’ experience in brand strategy, franchise development or brand management within entertainment, consumer products or a related field; experience with multigenerational brands is nice to have.
• Experience turning a long-term vision into practical, integrated plans that deliver measurable growth in revenue, profitability and brand value.
• A strong record of leading, supporting and developing teams, including direct people management.
• Experience working with international teams, agencies and partners, with an understanding of how consumer needs and cultural context vary by market.
• Knowledge of the US retail, consumer, marketing or entertainment landscape and how US trends can influence global opportunities.
• Commercial confidence, including experience with budgets and financial, audience or performance data.
• Strong creative judgement and the ability to offer useful feedback while respecting the expertise of creative and production partners.
• Clear, thoughtful communication and the ability to build alignment, navigate differing perspectives and support good decisions.
• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.

The pay transparency range for this role is listed below. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.

$155,300—$232,900 USD
