Job Description:

HITT Contracting is seeking an organized, motivated and detail-oriented Employee Relations Coordinator to join our HR Business Partner (HRBP) team. This role provides centralized support to the HRBP teams, helping ensure team processes, employee matters, transactions, reporting, and cross-functional requests are handled consistently and efficiently.

The Employee Relations Specialist will coordinate a broad range of HRBP activities, including employee relations case administration, team member transfer and relocations, workforce reporting, documentation requests, and support for various companywide talent programs. This role will also help maintain the systems, trackers, documentation, and follow-up processes that allow the HRBP team to operate effectively across HITT’s national footprint. The ideal candidate exercises sound judgment, handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion, and effectively balances multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is an on-site role based out of HITT Contracting’s national headquarters in Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide centralized coordination and operational support for the HRBP team, including maintaining team trackers, monitoring deadlines, gathering information, coordinating follow-up, and helping ensure consistent execution across HRBP responsibilities.
  • Coordinate termination documentation and narratives for all team members exiting the organization, ensuring all information is accurate, complete and prepared for submission to the Principal Leadership Team.
  • Serve as the central coordinator for internal team member transfers and relocations. Prepare transfer and relocation letters, coordinate communication among team members and business units, complete Workday transactions, and maintain accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain and audit HRBP data, metrics, case records, and tracking tools for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, including coordinating the semiannual development of Board reporting. Manage timelines, gather and validate information, coordinate leadership reviews, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting as business needs evolve. Coordinate team member good-standing assessments requested by the business, gathering relevant information from the appropriate HRBP and ensuring timely completion.
  • Audit 30/60/90 Onboarding process for new hires across the organization. Provide weekly reporting on metrics and follow-up with management as needed.
  • Monitor adoption and utilization of the HITT Experience App for all new hires within their first 90 days. Provide regular reporting on App participation metrics and follow up with management as appropriate to support adoption.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sourcing, organizing, and tracking documents and information requested in connection with EEOC, NLRB, legal, and other external employee relations matters. Maintain accurate records and reporting and coordinate ongoing reviews with the Senior Manager, HRBP, as appropriate.
  • Support the broader HRBP team in developing metrics and reporting related to the annual team member engagement survey.
  • Serve as the HRBP team’s liaison to the Recruiting team, providing support with rehire eligibility assessments, rescinded offers, and other recruitment-related requests that need HR Business Partner involvement.
  • Conduct exit and stay interviews and utilize the feedback to better the employee experience
  • Support additional HRBP initiatives, projects, and operational priorities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of Human Resources experience (may leverage additional work experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Working knowledge of fundamental HR principles, practices, and appropriate employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong investigative skills and prior experience with workplace investigations
  • Possess strong conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience building relationships internally and externally
  • Keen attention to detail with ability to track and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
  • Eagerness to integrate into a family-oriented, entrepreneurial, and highly demanding work environment
  • Self-starter with ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and with limited direction in achieving goals yet also maintains strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

In accordance with Virginia Senate Bill 215 (SB 215), the base salary range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $87,000.00

Compensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
