  • Manage research data collection, extraction, organization, cleaning, quality checks, and analysis workflows using approved systems and methods.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate research records, datasets, tables, figures, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Conduct literature searches and assist with synthesis of scientific evidence relevant to ongoing research projects.
  • Assist faculty and trainees with preparation and revision of abstracts, manuscripts, conference submissions, presentations, and responses to peer review.
  • Mentor medical students in research methods, data literacy, scientific writing, and responsible research practices under faculty supervision.
  • Coordinate communication with investigators, collaborators, students, and other University stakeholders and track project milestones and deadlines.
  • Complete required institutional and research training and perform other research-related duties assigned by the faculty supervisor.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including scientific and professional communication.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and project-coordination skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of research and institutional information.
  • Knowledge of research methods, data quality principles, responsible conduct of research, and research documentation practices.
  • Ability to manage, clean, analyze, and summarize research data and to prepare clear tables and figures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with REDCap, statistical software, reference-management software, or related research tools is preferred.
  • Ability to review scientific literature and contribute to abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and peer-review responses.
