The Barback supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is clean, stocked, organized, and operating efficiently. This role assists with product preparation, restocking supplies, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a smooth and exceptional guest experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Previous bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic bar operations a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding safety, sanitation, and proper chemical use.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.
- Clean and maintain the bar area, including counters, sinks, floors, and equipment.
- Remove trash, replace liners, and maintain recycling and disposal areas.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating beverage inventory.
- Refill ice bins and maintain proper ice levels throughout the shift.
- Cut garnishes and prepare basic bar prep items.
- Assist bartenders with service needs during busy periods.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and company policies.
- Report any equipment or maintenance issues to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
